What Is This & Why Is It Melting?
« on: June 25, 2019, 07:36:03 pm »
So car was misfiring 2 weeks back and giving a p0304 code. Changed the spark plugs and it worked fine until this week when it started again but worse, giving a p0302 code. Naturally tried changing the coil packs but made zero difference.

When I was changing them I noticed this plug (see below) has almost completely melted through. Could someone tell me please what this is/does please and if it could cause my symptoms? Thanks

Camshaft adjustment valve N205

Thank you! @MIJ_JAGGER yep that's the one. Pelican parts has a guide on how to fix which seems fairly straightforward.

Any ideas on a part number please? Seems that it's either 06F109257C or 06F109257A but they are quite different in price.

i think the last letter is the revision number so the one ending in C is a newer version than the one ending A, like I say, that's what I think.
