Drivers Door Pull
« on: July 29, 2019, 12:33:59 pm »
I’m just in the process of replacing the drivers door pull on my car. I’ve got the part number for the main bit however I need the inside part of the handle and I’m struggling with the part number. Does anyone know what the part number is and/or where I can get one from?

Here’s the bit I mean;

Thanks in advance,

GTiWILL

Tried that thanks, although it looks like it’s for a left hand drive car? Or is it me?

Regards, Will.

Just a little update to this post.

I had a look on eBay for the inner part of the handle and I was surprised to find it costing around £26! The most annoying thing is the actual part you need is tiny and comes with a bracket that you don’t need.

As you can see, the actual part of the handle that wears away is tiny and separates from the bracket which is still attached to the door card. Unfortunately you can’t buy it on its own.

This gave me the idea of repairing the existing handle. I ordered some satin matt black vinyl wrap from eBay for £1.99. It took about 5 minutes to carefully wrap this around the handle.

As you can see, the inner part of the handle looks great. You can’t see any of the edges either when it’s clipped in place and the satin finish feels great. I’m looking forward to fitting the outer part of the handle now. I’ll post another update when I’ve fitted it.

Hope this helps anyway,

Ta, Will.

That's a smart idea and cheap fix.
For all you see of that part once everything is in place its def the way to go.
Thanks for the update  :happy2:

nice job and good thinking.. I wonder f you could get away with doing the whole handle area (that the little bit attaches too) think it would look good, no sure on the wear factor of the vinyl though  :thinking:
