Warning light

JR.303:
Mk5 gti. The orange engine warning light has come on.
What does it mean please?
I have looked at the internet and it could be anything from cat to thermostat.
I guess it's a trip to the garage?
Strangely the car seemed to be picking up better.

You really need to get it scanned for fault codes and then take it from there.
