Back to mk5 gti ownership again...
« on: November 10, 2019, 08:00:44 pm »
Evening all...

I’m now the proud owner of another mk5 gti after god noes how long! This time I’ve got a DSG one.

So the car...

2006 (06)
Black
3dr
DSG
BWA engine
Cloth interior
Sunroof
18” monzas

It’s covered 130k miles with near full  VW service history. It’s pretty much completely original other than a unknown brand cat back stainless exhaust.

It’s very tidy and drives great.

I have tried uploading pics but photobucket seems unusable these days so can anyone recommend another site similar that I can post pics through?

Never owned a DSG model before, heard somewhere that it’s a good idea to do a reset of some sort via vcds? Can anyone shed any light on this?

Also has some sort of grinding/rubbing noise that I think is coming from the near side front wheel, not looked at it yet as only picked the car up yesterday. It could possibly be a wheel bearing but is weird noise.

Just a couple of pics for now... not had the weather or the day light to get any others yet.
