Anyone moved their door speaker?

I'm looking to get some replacement speakers at the front.

Woofer position is a bit rubbish as it's almost behind you!

Has anyone moved their woofer to be nearer the front of the door?

Im looking at getting at another mk5 and this would be on the list of things to do but would involve a door build (~£300)

Can anyone confirm which is the ve and which the -ve for all 4 door speakers?

The A8 wiring diagram shows the colours but has no comment on the polarity.

Im assuming the stripe is the ve?
