Depo headlights problem
« on: July 10, 2020, 06:05:00 pm »
Fitted a set on depo projectors last week that I got from energised customs, to replace the standard mk5 lights.

I swapped the two sets of h7s over from. The old lights and left the pre installed Osram H21W in the depos
The old reflector ones have a 5w5 type.

Every function works on the lights, high beam, running lights, dipped beam etc
But I'm getting two error codes and message on dash 'left /right side parking lights defective'

Any ideas to sort it?

Interested. I’ll be fitting a set of depos brought from the same place this weekend if the weather holds up. I noticed the indicator bulbs was already installed in the lights when they come even though it stated no bulbs included.

Will do mate no problem, this is actually the second set I had from them cuz they firsts ones was faulty with dodgy/lose wiring in one of the headlights.

I thought they would be plug and play can’t be doing with no errors

you have put in the side light bulbs yeh as they are 5w5 on the depos

Thanks alot
Yes I've 100% missed it.
Pulled the H21W holder out, saw it had a bulb, plugged it back in.
Then just changed the h7s over, never looked properly

Alot better output than standard mk5 lights already but I will get a set of led lights now I know the error code isnt the lights.

They look visually better too even when they're off I think

Dont be tempted to use 80W dipped H7 or 100W main H7 Osram,Ring or Philips. its illegal if you get caught especially if you forget to change to 55W at MOT time :innocent:

Got mine fitted today nice and easy to get them in probably spent more time adjusting the lights to get them flush with the wings and bumper, looking about wright now maybe a little bit more fiddling but started to spit a little rain, still need to adjust the bulbs tonight if it don’t rain.

No codes with the nighteye leds everything working as it should so I’m a happy man, no more cloudy and dingy looking head lights, I replaced all the front grills and number plate as well so the front of the cars looking very fresh indeed.

@Nathan have you had your bulbs adjusted yet mate, just had a look at mine in the dark and looks like they kick up to right instead of the left, hope they’ve not sent me lhd
