You don't have to remove the headlining to remove the aerial, just pull down the plastic trim piece at the top of the rear hatch, it is just held on by clips, and there is enough room to undo the nut and remove, there is a gap between the headlining and roof.

Is this the type that stretches over the aerial base?

For genuine seal you need to take the whole base and cable tails off the car to then install the seal, the cable has connectors tucked into the steel panels, if you are not familiar with them they are hard to disconnect - quite the faff
If I had to do this again I would be looking at the stretch type.

There are 2 types of base seal depending on year, just to add to the fun.  If your car is strange 2006/07 change over year model, it won’t state which one you need on ETKA.

Agreed with LC5F. It is indeed a faff. I just removed the aerial nut and it had just enough room to lift it off the roof to slide the new seal over the base.

Mine is an 07 but has a lot of 06 parts on it, which causes a lot of head scratching at the dealer sometimes. It’s probably an 06 car but wasn’t registered until 07.

Yeah seems to work well. Bit of heat to help it squeeze on.

Not a 100% fit but more than happy

I've left the part in a cup of hot water for a few mins so it's super flexible.
