Locking wheel bolt & key - no. 61
« on: August 01, 2020, 02:45:34 PM »
Hi all,

A very specific request, but am chancing it! I'm after a locking wheel bolt and key number 61. I understand these are obsolete from VW otherwise I'd be down to the dealer. I've found a new old stock number 59 and 60 on ebay but cannot find a 61.

Cash waiting if you can help!

Many thanks,
Dave

Dealer and independent will have keys.  Dealer will no doubt need the car booking in £££££ :grin: :grin:
 Independent if as good as mine will let you use the key.
 Kits are available but expensive for a single use job

Thanks terrier,

All is ok - I just need a replacement for a wrecked bolt which has been removed already. Might buy a new set, but just seeing if anyone has this specific one going spare before I change the lot...

Cheers,
Dave

Can you post a pic. I have a few VW keys. I've given up putting the feckers on. Does alloy wheels theft still happen? PIA at best of times, locking wheel bolts. If I have a one that looks to match I can post it out.

Haha chigmuss - I know, right! Exactly what I thought - if people want the wheels, they'll just get in to the boot and use the locking key! Still, I'm just wanting to keep the car original where I can (aside from the choice mods...)!
Pics of the key as follows;

Dave, sorry I haven't replied sooner but the last post to the ebay link looks like the answer. Mine don't have numbers on and have more splines!

No worries - thanks chigmuss! I think I'm sorted now with the one from the ebay link.
