Why wasn't I insured if I was a named driver??

When I got pulled it was all fine n when I was involved in a accident everything was fine...

You were insured, but if they were able to show you were the main driver and not just an occasional (named) driver the insurance would have been void.

Its called fronting and is a criminal offence if proven.

Its so serious that insurance companies are now going to give a 'kid key' for named drivers on the policy which inhibits the power of the car.

Hey Ollie..

It was 2,800 on my mums name with me n my dad as named drivers when I turned 19 it went down to 1,900… Then after a couple of months of being 19 I changed to my MK6 now my insurance is 2,400 on my own name with my folks as named drivers this is all with Bell.

Ash.

Cheers Ash,
I will give Bell a try thought for the GTI and GT and see what they give, Ive been trying everywhere for someone to insure me on a GTI. I gave up and know am looking at a GT for a couple of years.

Cheers
Ollie :happy2:
