front bumper conversion

Im looking to swap out my standard mk5 tdi bumper with a golf GTI bumper. Has anyone got any experience doing this?

Would something like this work fine or would i be worth finding a genuine one.

I know this is way too late and would be interested to know if you completed this mod? I just changed out to a gti front bumper on My mk5 golf fsi 1.6 today. Was certainly not a straight fit and required cutting and finessing to get it to fit.

Posting this here in case anyone else comes across it in the future.

GTI, GTD and Jetta share the same front mount, standard golfs use a different one. To get the bumper to fit perfectly without cutting anything, you need the correct radiator mount. The same crush bumper fits both but you need the correct size X plate to be able to bolt it to the hood latch area.
