Traction Control Light On

pudding:
It will either be the brake light switch (behind the brake pedal) or the brake pressure sensor, which should be screwed into the ABS pump.

maxamplitude10:
Pudding is the pressure sensor available separately from the ABS pump itself then?

I'll check both items tomorrow and feedback any findings..

Thanks again
Max

pudding:
Hmmm, looks like the pressure sensor is actually built into the ABS pump

GVK:
Back in the day when I worked at VW this fault under warranty was a case of checking MVB for brake light switch input then if that was ok , new ABS pump.

Nowadays can get them repaired by people like BBA reman. ECU testing etc.

As in above thread I have seen this fault so common in Ford/VW/BMW when working in the main dealers.

maxamplitude10:
Guys thanks for the input, after further investigation and collecting some live data I have come to the conclusion the abs pump is knackered. I have a constant reading of 214 BAR from pressure sensor which doesn't change when brake pedal is pressed and it also seems like an insanely high pressure to have in a braking system!!!!!!
Also after some googling as GVK states this seems to be a common issue..... Time to get the toolbox out again

Cheers Max
