Good article - it must be annoying for the volks in Wolfsburg to consistently have their new offering compared less favourably to one 3 generations older, that now costs a 10th of the price of their new one.

I still can't comprehend there being no 3 door option for the Mk8

Likewise, it's been more costly than running an RX7 tbh but I still have no intention of selling it.

The reason I cannot upgrade to a newer car..........nothing out there is a patch on a 15 yr old gti car

Yep, great car...2008 and 92k miles and (touch wood) no significant issues with her so far

I can't remember if the MK5 won this test but the reviewer loves the MK5......and why wouldn't he?  :love: :drinking:
