Glove Box Handle

Morning all - my glove box handle is doing nothing - I’m guessing the handle itself has broken? Has anyone had this problem and has any advice on where to start?

2008 Mk5 GTI 3dr

If this should be posted anywhere else please let me know

Sorry but got to double check here....

Are you sure it's not locked with the ignition barrel key?

I wish but unfortunately no - the latch opens up more than it being locked but still nothing 😭
