Thanks man, car was out of MOT when I purchased it and wouldn't have been able to organise getting it re MOT'd before the car needed to be VRT'd (registration tax) in Ireland.

V5 was marked as export so I think the DVLA take the plate back and sell it on......not 100% sure though.
