Radiator - options
« on: July 01, 2021, 10:05:52 pm »
Looks like my radiator has sprung a leak after a recent track day so will need replacing.

Other than dealer/tps, are there any other trustworthy suppliers? This car has been a money pit recently so keen to make savings (so long as it's not false economy).

Cheers

I've had a few Nissens brand rads - big Danish company, quality feels good and had no problems with them.
In fact I going to be upgrading the intercooler soon, replacing AC and rad with Nissens ones

Thanks, come to mention it I think my mechanic said Nissens were good.

Which shop did you get it from?

Also I was tempted to upgrade my intercooler too while it's all apart but I'm not upping power so it's a little pointless

I think Valeo are the original supplier of rads. I ordered one from ECP when mine went but they supplied a Hella which is just as good if not better IMO.

Thanks all. Ended up finding a Nissens one on carparts4less for a good price. I've also done a U-turn that can be seen from space and decided to shove an S3 intercooler in while the front end is apart. I'm sick of those bayonet connections leaking on the stock IC.

I've always had good luck with Valeo.  They are/were indeed the OEM supplier.

Can't go wrong with the S3/6R intercooler  :happy2:
