Is there any way of turning the engine over without it starting to get the oil flowing following an oil and filter change.
With an older car it would be a simple case of pulling the HT lead out of the cap.

Not sure why you would want to do that. It takes about 1-2 seconds for the pressure to build back up after a change. No big deal.

Sounds like a sensible idea to me. Those couple of seconds without oil circulating puts extra wear on an already high mileage engine.

In day to day use, I agree negligible
But if the engine is freshly built or has stood for a very long while with all the oil in the sump, getting the oil pressure up before firing is has to be a good thing.
Unfortunately the detail of why the OP wants to do this has been missed out.

Reason?

Do I have to give a reason other than it is something I want to do.

There are anti-drain back check valves in the block and oil pump to make post oil change priming unnecessary.

If you want to do it though, I recommend removing the spark plugs as the engine will turn over faster and therefore build oil pressure quicker.
