RCD330 Best place to buy from and battery drain Issue

I was looking to get an RCD330 for my golf gti 2008. Does anyone know the best place to buy the RCD330 and also I've been looking into the battery drain issue would I be able to use the cable linked below to prevent this(MSFW Steering wheel control adaptor)? I know there is a lot of threads on this but for most of them, I couldn't see a direct answer and just wanted someone to clarify if they could.
