Boot struts

DBXdarkangel:
I'm wanting to change my boot gas struts as they are not lifting the hatchback fully anymore. Plus mine are all rusty on the outer casing.

I've seen a few on ebay and managed to find a seller that is not in China.

Anyone used them off ebay before and if so are they OK or would you recommend getting them from another place?

Euro car parts ones… Anschler….. way too springy, they slam the boot open. Something will snap.

SGS nitro… open fine until 80% then they slow right down, very annoying.

If you find some that work like OEM then please let me know.

I recently had bonnet and boots struts changed - went for genuine parts from TPS. Yes, they were pricey (compared to ECP etc) but I know they will be good for another 10 years so don't have to worry about them

How do you get them from TPS tho? I thought they only deal with garages?

DBXdarkangel:
Might try these
