Drivers side mirror indicator connector dodgy
« on: August 06, 2022, 11:21:49 pm »
Swapped out my standard clear mirror indicators for eBay special black sequential ones, which, for £15 are pretty good.

Passenger side mirror didn't have a single torx screw so that leads me to believe that it's a non OEM part that's been replaced in the past. Drivers side mirror was caked in dirt and was the full Volkswagen with torx and clips everywhere.

To get the drivers side one to connect I had to jam a small piece of blu-tac in between the mirror connectors. I noted today that the drivers side one isn't working now.

Is there anything that can be done to make the connectors seat properly?

I would have a look at the condition - depending how bad it is just a spray contact cleaner may do, if bad needle file the crud off and add dab of dialectic grease to help it seal.
If you go back in and find its clean, it would suggest the light has failed.
