Mind its not uncommon for the harness of the MKV to have a large number of white conductor wires, making identification difficult using that type of repair method if the wires have separated.

That's true there were a lot of white wires, so this kit won't be any good I guess.
I'll have to have a count of how many.
Was really concentrating on the broken brown earth wire at the time.

I just bit the bullet and bought a new loom. Then I got my rear boot release, heated windscreen and rear wiper back  :grin:
