Top End Rattle

Sorry, first time posting here so May have chose the wrong place to put this.

I have a MK5 GTI BWA - 2005
Just carried out a top end build. New cam chain / tesnsioner fitted
When cam adjuster plugged in and engine up to temperature, I’m getting a rattle / knocking from top end. Unplug cam adjuster plug and engine runs smooth as anything.

I have changed the cam solenoid and still same fault . No codes stored either.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!
