BTCC Thruxton - plenty of pics.

Every one I spoke to at Thruxton said the Golf looked and sounded great and it had the crowd behind it, I dont think Shaun was under any illusions in his first race, the Fords started the same in their first season and their budget & resources must be huge compared to AMD.

Nice to have a car running in the BTCC that you can follow.

Sorry Chungster, didnt see you, I was stuck on the muddy banking at Allard

Car just didnt seem to handle that well, obviously I need a bit more power.   :laugh:

Yup, it's as Chungster says: Lots of support for Shaun and the AmDMilltek Golf. Was Shaun's first outing and he's still learning the car. Shaun had never driven Thruxton before. Plus there's work still to be done to improve the car. He spun in race 3 which caused problems with n/side drive, hence he stopped. A CV joint broke in an earlier race but in practice on Saturday, Shaun beat a couple of the other cars. It's early days.

Sorry I didn't stop and chat longer, Lee, but I was a guest of the AmDMilltek team all weekend and had been asked to return to base in the paddock straight after that race.

I'll post more info about the weekend tomorrow.
