Tyres wearing way too fast on Edition 30!

Going to collate answers to all the questions so you have as full a picture as possible. Thanks for your help guys!!

thomsonpop:
See here photos of the tyres in question. As you can see the wear is very uneven like there is way too much camber. Could this be a suspension issue? Can't believe the tyre place told her there was nothing wrong with her wheel alignment. Looks like this is the place to start rather than power output, mapping etc?

Clarkj93:
Yeah there is some positive camber going on there.... it should be about negative .5 to 1 degree. Maybe too much toe in/out too. Either alignment must be out or something suspension related is seriously broken and they should have spotted it! Would try another garage, preferably a highly skilled one over the local High Street garages, if you mention where you are in the world someone may be able to advise of someone local-ish.

thomsonpop:
Thanks! Yes sounds right to me. My GF is near Shaftesbury, Dorset.

A couple of things...
- Does the car have anything that could have contributed to some positive camber? Adjustable top mounts, wishbone bushes, adjustable ball joints? Perhaps some Powerflex bushes tucked away at the front of the lower arms that you haven't noticed? Is the car on standard suspension? Generally as cars get lower their static camber becomes more negative. If a car was lowered in the past, it could have had positive camber added in order to meet stock specifications. If the car was returned to standard suspension later, it would then be more positive unless that adjustment was taken out.
- You said alignment. Just be aware that some companies will only be checking toe when they say alignment. You really want somewhere with a Hunter or similar setup. Ideally to get camber, caster and toe.

Worn bushes can do funny things, but if your uneven wear is balanced across both fronts, it makes me think that somebody has done something on both sides. Either incorrect part or for the reason above.
