Vacum hose

Hello.
I'm new here and I have a question. Should air flow in and out of this part from all sides?  :thinking:

ROH ECHT:
When you blow into the upper port, at the arrow....the one-way valve should shut to prevent manifold boost from entering the brake booster system.
When you apply vacuum to one of the three lower ones, with the two other lower ones plugged, it should also seal shut.
