Ahh right I see, will see if I can get some - might as well ‘while am in there’ 😂 - I have read some of the posts on here about it like, although I have already bought the cast arms 😂

Oh and in reply to your earlier question that I hadn’t answered - the engine in the MK1 is an AJQ (180 engine from a TT but with DBW throttle essentially)

mk1mad:
You could of had my cast arms

To fit the aluminium  hubs you will need  the longer bolts that hold the brake carrier and shouldered nuts for the bottom joints and track rod ends.
I have the part numbers if needed .

Are  you fitting anti lift bushes at the front?

Haha oh well, too late now but cheers anyways!

Ok no worries, cheers for the advice like, aye the part numbers would be good if you’ve got them, I might leave it for now since I’ve got all of the bits already and I’ve spent a fortune already haha, but defo useful for future, especially if I end up mapping it (it’s stock at the moment)

Same story for the anti lift bushings, probs will do but at a later date - do they give much advantage? I’ve read reviews of them like but was unsure if it made much difference on a stock car?

Plan at the moment is to just get everything as new as possible as a good base

The cost soon add up with new bolts etc.

A good alternative to anti lift is the s3  wishbone rear bush as it's solid rubber and not voided like the gti version(It needs pressing into the  gti aluminium console  as the s3  one is different) That's what I had fitted on my last gti.

My edition 30 came with anti lift but I have no idea what brand it is.

Graney_ED30:
Aye this is it like, I looked at the anti lift kits and they are about 160ish, and I’d rather use that money on sourcing the bolts as from what I’ve seen so far the dealer is the only place I’ll get the front subframe bolts - I tried VagBolts on eBay but they are out of stock.

Most of the arms and stuff came with bolts and I’ve got the rear subframe bolts already, will get it all together and see what’s missing from then on.

Got the arches cleaned down with bilt hamber wheel cleaner and some citrus prewash, they aren’t as bad as I first thought, but defo some areas to pay attention to:

All parts are at the powder coating place now, so plan going forward is to great all this stuff treated and repainted, there is also a small rust hole which I’ll patch up before the painting.

Hoping to have everything done by the end of next month - also was going to just get the OEM anti roll bars coated and put back on as there is nothing wrong with them, just not sure if I should go H&R or something if I am going this far haha
