So, been finding the time to get on with bits between work and other things but I feel this is going into full restoration now haha…..I need to keep myself from stripping the entire thing 😂
Everything has been cleaned and wire wheeled/flap disc’d then applied with the De-Ox gel and covered with clingfilm to keep it working over the next 24 hours.
I’ve also checked the rust “hole” - yeah it was worse than I thought but still not the worst I’ve seen, I’ve also discovered another in the drivers side front, weirdly at the top rather than the bottom corners…….but I should be able to tackle these myself as I’ve done a bit of this type of stuff before.



Also had to drill out and re-tap the subframe bolts that snapped….they were absolutely SOLID 😂



Finally, whilst I’ve been waiting for some more bits to turn up I decided to clean up all the wheel arch liners/plastics, I can fully vouch for this CarPro Perl - absolutely transforms plastics


Car is now all masked up and ready for some seam sealer/primer/stonechip/paint - all the stuff is done at the powder coating place so just need to go pick that up, however I’m leaving it there until the car is ready for it because I’m running out of space 😂

Hopefully next post should be it welded up and painted!
