000010 - Camshaft Positioner (Bank 1 Intake)

(1/2) > >>

Hey guys, I need some help, recently I did a full head rebuild on my car(valves, intake cam, guides, seals, etc) replaced timing belt, camshaft chain tensioner, and also swapped the turbo all at the same time. After I drove the car for a bit I got a CEL , these are the fault codes I got, any ideas what might be going on? The car starts and drives fine. I’ve replaced the camshaft sensors and checked the timing on the belt and it looks fine.

Wanted to add after I replaced both crankshaft  sensors the second fault code (the one that mentions engine speed sensor) went away, but the one that says camshaft positioner bank 1 is still present

Potentially N205?

Definitely thinking at this point it will have to be either that valve or the cam timing itself is off…guess I’d start by the sensor since it’s cheaper/easier to do

Found the culprit. If anyone gets this issue in the future. Make sure when you are replacing your camshaft chain tensioner, adjuster, etc. also get the 3 plastic O-ring seals for the camshaft adjuster. They get too brittle and tend to break when you install a new adjuster…this will save you from a big headache
