Water leaking into boot above LHS light unit - Need Help Please

Hi All,

I have water leaking into the boot on the LHS, it is coming in through a panel seam above the rear light. The only place I can see that it might be getting in is the wiring loom grommet so I have removed this, put silicone underneath, refitted and then put more sealer around the edge and yet the water still gets in the same is before.

I have owned the car (2007 Mk5 Gti 3 Door) since new and it has not had any rear end panel damage so the seams should all be as they left the factory.

Any ideas ?
