*HELP* engine fault code no garage has been able to help
VW:
Hi guys I have a Volkswagen Golf mk5 gti. I recently got the timing belt, chain and water pump replaced. Ever since I have had the engine code camshaft positioned bank 1 intake slow response P000A not a plausible signal. My garage have stripped the engine and visually cant see any fault the car drives fine but feels a lot slower and requires a lot more acceleration than it did prior to this fault. The garage can’t figure out what is causing this and have consulted vag specialist but I’ve had no luck! They have potentially suggest replacing the cam shaft but there’s no guarantee the engine light won’t come back on. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and have been able to resolve it.

A few of us have similar issues in the past, this thread might be helpful;

I did have a quick read through that but not sure if anyone was able to resolve it. My garage suggested that we could replace the camshaft but it physically doesn’t look worn and that the check engine light may come back on even after. Did anyone figure out what causes this fault code/ what resolved it?
Octoparrot:
If the fault occurred straight after the garage had done the timing belt etc. then I'd be looking at what they've done to cause it. I don't believe that this fault will just be a coincidence.

Sounds like the timing/belt is out to me........a sudden lack of power after the work was done, is setting my alarm bells off
