MK5 Gti Road Noise Best Tried & Tested Ways To Improve?

Continental are generally quieter tyres than their competitors in my experience, especially if you choose the optional foam inserts. I found the Premium contact 6 to be pretty quiet on my ED30 and it's very close to the SportContact in terms of grip.
If none of that works, go with the sound absorption method instead and just line the boot area with acoustic egg box foam

Hello thanks alot for the input did you notice at least a bit of a difference in tyre noise in the rear after dynamatting? as its mostly tyre noise im trying to quiet down. New tyres is on my to do list once i source and purchase a set of 17 inch monzas. I wil be getting a set of 4 Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 6 (from what i hear they are very quiet and have been highly recommended by mk5 gti owners) on a 17 inch rim with a 45 wall tyre im hoping this should make a big difference combined with some dynamatting the boot area.
