Magnetic carbon paddles on the original MK5 steering wheel?

Anyone gave these a try? They are super nice. Saw them in Misha's latest ring video with the mk5 r32.

They are advertised for the mk7 wheel only tho :( Found a guy on youtube but he also had the mk7 wheel. I'm guessing the connector would work but the paddles would be unattachable on our steering wheel?
