Edition 30 ramair intake EVAP hole

Hello,

I just installed the ramair intake on the MK5 GTI edition 30. A problem I faced was that the (EVAP?) hole wasn't in the correct position for the (EVAP?) cable. It's underneath the hole and can't reach it since the space to put it on is way too tight. (See pictures). Is there something I am doing wrong? I think the car has a PCV delete, could this have anything to do with my cable being in a different position or anything?
What I've temporarily done is plug both the cable and the insert hole, but it gives a very loud flutter which I don't think is a normal thing haha

No, this car looks to be an import as it has that noise pipe thing in the way that the UK cars for sure never came with.  There is a lot of info on US sites, as they get removed and blocked.......red box.....there is usually a pipe that routes where that noise pipe is and goes to the DV in the front of the engine.

It does not look like a K04 engine either, as I am unable to see the DV so do not believe this is a genuine ED30 in my opinion.....def not a UK one!

It should be a german import. I am from the Netherlands. Is there a difference maybe between uk and german ones?
Or is there any way to check if my ed30 is real? It’s even registered as a 230hp ed30?

I am only really familiar with the UK Ed30........same layout as an S3 8P.

It may be a real one as you say it is a German import.....I could not say, as we never got the noise pipe thing in the UK.
