Going to look at a DC5 this weekend
Nickyboy:
The Civic has around 212bhp and the Teg about 217. The Teg I drove felt slower which makes me think there was something wrong with it. There was noise coming from the diff (barely noticeable with the Spoon exhaust) on the teg, alot more than from the Civic.
I know the Teg had been used for 0-60 sprints at Crail raceway, maybe there was something wrong with it? I'll be test driving another Teg next week to compare.

You do know they only achieve that power on high octane fuel in japan which we dont get here
MAT ED30:
mmm  i worked for Honda and had a few as u know :rolleye: and looked at getting the engine from japan and what the changes are from uk to jap cars and it was nothing like our engine all the part numbers were not the same
Nickyboy:
I mean the JDM Civic (215PS) and Integra (220PS).
Different to the UK K20 engines, as per Honda's usual act of only giving Japan the best technology :sad1:
And aye I know the JDM Civic is built in Swindon :signLOL:
Jules86:
There are differences and it is more powerful mate but most RR days guys with the JDM model made around 200-210 tops. To make maximum power they need the race stuff in japan.
It has JDM springs, valves, pistons and a smaller smaller cat, gear ratios and mapping along with a
different intake and exhaust manifolds.
This of course adds power but, as i said, is made to go with Japanese fuel. A KPRO will change it for Vpower and get around 230-240bhp
