RNS510 question

<< < (4/7) > >>

bodger00:
Ok so I guess the long and short of it is...if I fit the rns 510 no direction indicator on the dash. Is that the only limitation for the rns 510?

I take it this cannot be retro changed to highline?

Does cruise control have the same requirement for the highline to be fitted?

Can have Highline retrofitted but you have to make sure youget the correct year then get it coded. Can work out costly. would have been better if VW made the £50 optional extra standard instead.

micaerin:
will it accept SDHC cards or just the old style SD cards, also has anyone tried the tv attachment like listed on ebay

SD /SDHC depends on which version you get and the firmware its running. I'd always recommend going for a B unit at least, C may be more future proof

Norbreck21a:
No ones mentioned that if you don't have Highline display its not the end of the world, as the items that would have been displayed in it, can be displayed on the RNS via a split screen display. RNS gives you about 5 options of what is displayed in the split screen including what's shown in the highline (symbols for the next turning) as well as compass, GPS coordinates including number of satellites tracked etc.
