Well, after a good 2+ years service the golf goes, been looking for ages and in the end it was between the Golf R or the Scirocco R, After trying both i settled on the below, the Golf has be very good and is very rapid and it will be missed.

Forgive the pictures as the car was in the showroom, in the end i dropped onto this one at just the right time and at a proper price.

heres some pictures i found on the net to give you an idea (albeit im not sure this one has the 19" alloys mine has)

good choice my man.  definately the best of the two in the looks dept.

wil you mod it, or leave it stock.  if so you potentially could run into issues.  all the guys with 2010 octavia vRS's on briskoda require their ECU to be removed for mapping, cos VW have put an encryption on that means mapping via he OBD port isnt possible until someone breaks the code.

Very nice Shaun :congrats:

Revo Carl has already said (to me anyway) the Roc R uses the older MED 9 ECU so has no problem with this encryption thing.

so remap away if you wish!

Is yours a manual or DSG?
