Autocar have tested the new A8 4.2 TDI this week and it is officially the fastest diesel car they have ever tested (0-60 in 5.0 and 0-100 in 13.0) :surprised: :surprised: :surprised: Not bad for a 2 tonne limo..

I went on the A5 launch for a day at Adlington hall as a sweetener for some trouble i had with my A3, got to take out both the S5 and 3.0TDi seperately on 1 hour test routes, V8 sounded nice but the TDi felt the quicker car by far!

I think my next car will be an A6 3.0 TDI Le Mans. I came very close when I bought the .:R but the heart won this time. :chicken:

I drove a Q7 4.2 V8 TDI at the same launch. My god did it tramp on but 18mpg :surprised:

I've always had a thing for the 3.0TDi after driving it on the launch, ticks so many of my requirements and doesnt sound too shabby with a milly fitted either! :wink:
