Anyone else been offered an iPhone 4 for delivery tomorrow?

Eh, why? One is a smartphone, one is a device for consuming media at home...

Indeed, however i use my iphone for what i would use an iPad for (internet, games etc) and it costs the same as an iPad (my contract has 12 months left) so, as i said, i dont see why you would buy one unless upgrading.

There are way too many scenarios to go into where buying an iPhone 4 makes sense. I agree that your personal circumstances mean it's pretty pointless but what about someone who doesn't have an iPhone and doesn't need a computer?

Of course, but then they would have a phone (for calls etc) and an iPad for internet, movies etc.

There are lots of scenarios where im sure someone would benefit and the same where the opposite would apply.

Upgrading makes sense but spending near £500 for a 3GS with a better camera seems mad!
