would 215 give a bit of stretch Gaz and also if there is a tiny bit of stretch would this effect the handling.

think 215 would give a bit of stretch, there would be less tyre on the road so less grip

I dont either, so before MR Robin comes along and tells me the virtues of correct tyre fitting  :signLOL: it was just because it might give me that little bit of extra clearance if needed as i will be dropping the coilovers a bit lower and the wheels i am hoping to get stick out 6 mil further.

personally i think you will be sacrificing ride comfort using 215's, especially if your using it daily, each to their own though  :happy2:

Another thing to remember, the sidewall will be smaller with the 215 as it's a percentage of the tyre width. eg 215/45/19 = 215mm wide, sidewall being (45% of 215mm) 97mm. Smaller sidewall gives a less forgiving ride but more "feel"

they can also turn an encounter with a pothole into a flat tyre with a bent rim too if your tyre pressure isnt spot on. been there. done that. now run 235

I think that 215 will be better, I have them on my 8.5" and that are not too stretched IMO. Ride comfort being compromised is ??

But if you want to be lower to terra firma them I would highly reccomend, it will give you sooooo much more clearance.  :happy2:

225 35 19" are a great fit and you won't have any problems with rubbing! Ran these on a set of 19" ch on my first edition 30!
