DSG mate FTMFW  :jumpmove:

auto box  :rolleye: cant drive stick  :P but they call it dsg to make it sound cool to young ones  :rolleye: so they dont have to call it an auto

--- End quote ---

I have driven a manual for the past month since mine as been having open heart surgery! I absolutely f*cking hate it! I can understand manual in a raw track car, GT2, GT3 RS etc. but in an everyday car like mine, DSG FTMFW! The box is an absolute masterpiece, I wouldn't be without it! Can't wait to get mine back  :popcornsoda:

Limited slip Dif    no grip stick.          but they call it LSD to make it sound cool to young ones    :rolleye:  so they dont have to call it a driving aid for those who cant handle front wheel drive cars.  :popcornsoda:

Right... Update time!

After a frantic week last week, i found a couple of hours in the evening to dash up to VW Racing and collect the car.

The drive home was taken quite steadily mainly due to the fact the rear of the car was filled with all the parts I had taken off.

Unfortunately, on hitting the A34 and getting some speed up, i found the car had a bit of a judder at speed. This was obviously a bit of a worry. As VWR are not open over the weekend, I dropped them an e-mail and tried took things steady over the weekend.

I got a phone call just after 9 this morning as Matt had picked up my e-mail and was concerned that I was unhappy with the car so promised me he would get things sorted as soon as possible.  Within a few minutes I received another call to tell me he was dispatching Andy on a 3 hour drive to my office to have a look at the car and see if he could sort matters out. Andy arrived, spent a while tinkering and quickly diagnosed the problem. After a minor adjustment of the daming, the car was sorted. All I can say is a massive thanks to the VWR Boys for exceeding the levels of customer service I expected. Another recommendation from me!

All I can say now is WOW  :jumping: It is an impressive car. It just takes off and keeps pulling hard through the revs. I know all Matt, Simon and Sam at VWR were very impressed with their work and I can only agree. The handling seems spot on through the twistys and it looks great as well. The exhaust note is lovely and I am loving the induction noise of the Twintake system!

It is now just a case of learning how to bring the power in to make sure it is used efficiently and I dont end up just spinning the fronts! I think some stickier rubber could be needed now!

I also managed to have a play with some vinyl on the front end

Happy with the look. Needs a good clean now and I will be able to start the pic whoring. Will try and get some more pics up when I have given it a clean!

Guess its time to bring on the next stage of mods...
