Possible air-con fault.
Top Cat:
Very rarely use my aircon probably used it 7 times since new 25 months old. Have used it a couple of times recently and once i switch it off when it gets to nippy, i get a nasty smell in the car about 5 to 10 mins after switch off is this normal or a possible fault. :sad1:
LouCyffer:
Reckon it may be a bacterial build up in the ducts. Common on units not run very often. Try running it for 10 minutes at full fan speed, set as hot as you can. It may help to clear it. Otherwise I'd look to a local independent a/c specialist to 'spring clean' for you. I think this is common on vehicles where the a/c isn't used through winter, or for long periods. The usual advice seems to be use the a/c at least once a week to help stop the buggy build up.

Cheers Lou. :happy2:
LouCyffer:
 A pleasure TC. Hope you get it smelling pine-fresh soon mate.
Drapoon:
You can buy de-bug cannisters cheap from Halfrauds or GSF whch will cleanse the system...
Shut all windows, let cannister off & sit it in your pass footwell with re-circulating air set & air con on max (engine running of course)
Close the doors & wait until the mist clears & this should get rid of the bacterial (eggy!) smell
