Thinking of returning iPhone 4

Got to admit I am really suprised and dissapointed about this signal issue, one of the big things about the iP4 was better reception.

Dont see a software update being able to fix it.

Whens the next one coming out ...

My g/f had her 4 since release but not noticed any issues, she perfectly happy with it

Software update won't actually fix the issue, it'll just make it seem less bad. Point is that both Anandtech and researcher at Cardiff University independently found a roughly -19dB attenuation when the iPhone 4 is held such that the two antennae are bridged. That's a 4x loss of signal! (Remember that dB is a logarithmic scale).

My dad's getting really peed off with his iPhone 4s - he's considering swapping one for an HTC Desire. He's an Apple guy through and through so that speaks volumes!

MAT ED30:
mines been spot on and never had any probs at all  the bars do go down but mines got a case around it so its been ok

edit that mine just dropped to 1 bar from 5  :signLOL:
