Rns-510
Gtiain:
Has anybody got the tv on their rns 510? If so what's it like? Do you get reception most of the time and is the picture watchable? I just don't want to shell out alot of money if it's rubbish and unwatchable.
If it is decent what do I need to buy, I already have the rns510. Thanks in advance for your help girls and boys.

I tried a DVB-T on my RNS before I ripped it out to fit the rear view camera
Used a IMA Multimedia Adaptor

with a Alpine DVB-T
It was ok, but fiddly to change channel from the steering wheel
Reception wasn't too clever I'm in the South East so we won't switch to digital until 2012, so the transmitter levels are pretty weak and although I had an aerial on both sides of the car, had to ensure that I parked the car in the correct direction to the main Crystal Palace transmitter
Its a cool gimmick, but when I had to remove it for the RVC I haven't missed it, if I'm going to be stuck parked in the car for a while, I'd rather play a DVD for a hassle free experience

Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be the case. I think I might go for the rear view camera instead. Do you use that feature and find it useful? Cheers.

I was one of the first to install the camera :pomppomp: :pomppomp: :pomppomp:
Use it every day, wouldn't be without it, next car MUST have a RVC
