arghh she's gone for good
Janner_Sy:
well the vRS has gone for good now.
in a way im glad, I loved it when it was fully modded at stage 2+ but ever since stripping it back, it just felt dead, slow, and soggy. std cars suck ass big style.
Got a good deal on the car in the end. The car had 34k, 3 years old in september, and required a service, new tyres, brakes, tax and an MOT in sept. and had a car wahsh scrape in the rear door, and small dent in the rear bumper.
I bought the car brand new tax free with forces discount 3 years ago for £12500, and sold it today for £8790 which im chuffed to bits with taking into account the above outstanding work required.
anyway i bought the wife a 307 estate 1.6 which im using the time being until i find myself a ridiculous car to treat myself with after finishing this course.
Ive got a bit of savings left and am looking around for something around £7-9k.
that could get me
meganne RS
focus RS mk 1
VX220
impreza P1
elise 1.8
BMW 330 CI coupe
integra type R
nissan 350Z
mazda RX8 231
leon cupra TFSI
so as you can see im really not sure what i want, so my plan is to try as many cars as possible, im in no rush anyway tbh, . ideally the car needs to be good on track before modding,

and why not a Mk5 GTi?? :star:

I drove an Elise yesterday and it was awesome. The unservoed brakes would take a lot of getting used to, and the straight-line speed to slightly gutless, but it more than makes up for it in the corners. Very raw for everyday use though.

bit like my old mini cooper s clubman. excellent fun in the bends but gutless on a straight. im thinking the vx220 would be a better car to go for. same chassis, more power, new car for less money etc.

not an issue really, it wouldnt be used apart from evenings and weekends for hooning around in. i only drive about 300-400 miles a month on average anyway
Saint Steve:
no faster??? if thats your reason not for trying the car, then your missing out on a great all round car, compared to some of your choices ?
Your choice at the end of the day. Ever fancied trying dsg
