The Nürburgring nordschleife is amazing, insane.
It is Heaven in Hell.
You'll love it.

I went there maybe 10 times, I rode 77 laps. I hope the next time will be in september.

Trackdays mean it is easier to get track specific insurance and any incidents are dealt with as knock for knock, so you aren't liable like on a tourist day. I did a trackday at the 'ring in April and it was by far and away a million times better than any tourist day. The organisation, the drivers are better behaved (on the whole anyway!), no buses, bikes, vans etc and a limitation of how many cars are allowed on the trackday, which means clearer laps. Also figure into the equation that unless there is a major crash on the trackday, the track is kept open. There were around 5 incidents on the day I went and not one shut the track down. When I've been on a tourist day in the past, at least 4 of these would have shut the track down. On trackdays you also get a full flag system with a comprehensive amount of people at trackside to use them.

Who organize it and when?

It was organised by Destinationnurburgring and my visit was on the 19th April. 140 cars including some glorious machinery like the 599XX and several 'Ring race teams on shakedown . :driver:

Not my fastest lap by any means Tara, but this is an example of just how clear a trackday gets.....

Don't be shy with lady, Hurdy. You are fast on the Ring. :ashamed:

449£ is not cheap even for full day open not crowded track. :surprised:

You have to ride many laps to redeem your money spent.

But still, that's a good option to think about.

Ah, I love it there. Have been around it various times, in various cars. Been 'round the F1 circuit as well. When everything just flows, it's the best experience ever. Been a couple of years since I've been, haven't had time to go. Not much chance left to go this year for me, and that means waiting 'til April or May of next year...

I've just got back from my first trip. It was amazing. Unfortunately i picked up a nasty eye infection on the 2nd day so missed a day and a half of driving, but still managed 10 laps. Happy with the golf's performance. She surprised a lot of things and got plenty of interest while parked up as well. It seemed to be crash central, especially on sunday where it hammered down with rain. My friend had the sight of a brand new 997 Turbo smashing into the armco right in front of him in the rain! Other than the crashes, track closure and the eye infection, it was an awesome experience. Definately going back!
