Extremely good guide and crystal clear pics.

But personally I'd be wanting to swop any silvery bits to plain versions! But ETTO :happy2:

Been a busy boy then Mr H.

All this time you spend on your own car means I've just had to wash and wax mine myself!!

I can see that their addition helps the brushed ali trim which is already there and which I think looks a bit solitary ex-factory.

I've been thinking that the petrol cap release is looking a bit left out.

I understand that the Passat includes the boot release with the petrol cap. I was just wondering if you could fit the top part of the petrol cap switch to one of the single window lifter switches that you have left and use that.

Any thoughts?

im confused ?, why would i want to put it on a window switch ?, i could just buy the passat switch and try and de construct it and see if it fits on the golf cap release, but the parts is about £20 + for something i hardly ever see

heres the passat one marked 7 note its a double switch

Thanks for that. I had come to the same conclusion myself and was planning to buy the original Golf one and the double Passat one just in case I make a hash of things.

The reason I was thinking to use the window switch was that I have 3 spares. :ashamed:

Sorry to lift an old thread, but I'm after a set of silver trimmed switches but can only find them from oemplus.com. Their prices are fair enough prices but the shipping is going to be £60!

Does anyone supply these in the UK?

Cheers,
Andy
