ipod dock

i have a ed30 with the ipod dock but when i plug my iphone in it say not compatible can any help me please?

The ipod dock only supports the older ipods, and would only treat it as a cd changer as in play the first 5 playlist and random 100 songs.  If you want to play music and charge a later ipod (and possibly iphone) then you will need an MDI unit, which has different wiring and box.
