JPW:
Well my car has now gone and all being well I pick up my Reflex Silver GTI on Fri! :driver:

I would still like to get rear parking sensors fitted - are there any tips/guidance on the forum as I can't find any, but otherwise I have the spec I wanted.

I just hope that I've done the right thing as driving back in my last toy with 230bhp and RWD I was questioning my decision! :scared:

Being based in the Midlands (Telford) - can anyone recommend a good local VW specialist or is the main one Midland VW?

divweir:
why does any one want rear sensors can no one reverse park ther car without bumping it :signLOL:  come on give it a try :driver:

....Having rear sensors just makes it all easier. We're all human and sometimes a sensor will pick up something you missed seeing.

Reversing cameras can be retrofitted too but personally I think they're a bit of a gimmick.

Hi Bud,

That's 5 of us on here now that in live or around Telford... :happy2: plus some more locals in Wolverhampton

I personally take mine to Inchcape VW in Shrewsbury as we have a great relationship with them having bought several cars from them over the years.

So what spec is your car and whereabouts in Telford do you live? PM me if you like, I think you need 10 posts or more...so get replying... :happy2:

JPW:
Cheers RedRobin.
I too prefer the sound of a BEEP to  a BUMP!

When parking close to other vehicles or in confined spaces I find the parking sensors very useful.

Moschops,
I'll get posting and PM you!

I had a bit of a run-in with Inchcape VW in Telford when they tried to pull the wool over my Mum's eyes and suggested all sort of things needed replacing and were damaged - being a Chartered Engineer I confronted them and gave them the benefit of doubt and they went back on everything that they said was wrong!

I've got a Reflex Silver, with 18" Monza IIs, Ipod connection, Vienna leather, winter pack and a few other toys - looking forward to it, but it's my first FWD car in about 12 years and slightly less powerful than I'm used to!
