Wing mirrors
« on: October 07, 2010, 08:42:36 pm »
Am I doing it wrong ??

I am unable to manually push back my door mirrors. I don't have the electric folding mirrors (no symbol on switch) so assumed that I could just push them back out of harms way.

Am I just not trying hard enough (didn't want to try just in case they broke) or do they not go back ??  :ashamed:

You should be able to push them in. There's an initial stiff resistance you must overcome, after which it's easier. They "lock" into place when you return them.

Not sure if my mirrors are standard fit as they are listed in the options list. They look to be sitting closer to the body that normal. When pushed, they move in by about an inch then look like it would hit the door panel if pushed further.

They dont push up do they ??

Yup. Unfortunately that's about the right amount - most think they're useless in terms of folding. They do not fold in any direction.
