new headunit advice

I have to admit, I've been looking long and hard at the Avic 900 or 700.
I'm pretty convinced this is what I'm putting into my GTi (when I get it - shame VW can't find me one!!)

I'm shocked about the bootup time. :confused:

The fascia - is this included with the Avic?
My understanding is that the only differences between the 8700 and 900 is the DVD and high-power outputs (not an issue as I'm going to amp externally anyway)

Was it easy to install?

My AVIC-900 is being installed tomorrow lucky for me I sell Pioneer home kit and a hell of a lot of it so got it VERY cheap  :happy2:

Will let you know tomorrow what its like and how long it takes to boot up. If its anything like there Blu-Ray players then 30Sec would be the norm.
