What alignment settings post WALK kit?

Im about to get my WALK kit fitted to my edition.... gonna get Wheels in Motion to do it!

What are the best settings for 'enthusiastic road use'?

I'd have thought W-I-M would be able to set your car more optimally than anyone else?

Teutonic_Tamer:
The WALK only adds half a degree to an otherwise non-adjustable castor setting.  So just stick with the 'early' OEM GTI settings.  VW did later release some supplementary GTI settings, which basically lessend the rear camber for peeps who mainly tramp.

And are you having it done at Wheels In Motion HQ, or one of their 'agents'?  If using an agent - be very careful - WIM use an aweful lot of 'Stapletons' tyre depots - but they are a bunch of incompetent w@nkers!

If you have coilovers fitted, I would rather use Centre Gravity, rather than a WIM agent.

rich83:
Yes, i believe that their place in Chesham (had tyres from them a few years ago) is where i'm gonna take it!

So... original GTI settings with the WALKS castor taken into account?

Is there anything to be gained by adding slight negative camber?

Thanks guys

Rich

Teutonic_Tamer:
Rich, front camber isn't adjustable, only the rear camber is.
